Gene expression profiles in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of chronic heart failure patients
Physiol. Genomics Cappuzzello et al. 38: 233

Clarification regarding Figure 5B

Cappuzzello C, Napolitano M, Arcelli D, Melillo G, Melchionna R, Di Vito L, Carlini D, Silvestri L, Brugaletta S, Liuzzo G, Crea F, and Capogrossi MC. Gene expression profiles in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of chronic heart failure patients. Physiol Genomics (March 31, 2009). doi:10.1152/physiolgenomics.90364.2008

In the original blot in Figure 5B, as posted to Articles in PresS, the lanes shown were not adjacent. A separation vertical line will be inserted in the final version to indicate removal of unnecessary lanes. In the final-posted version of this article, Figure 5B and its legend will be modified as presented below.

Fig. 5. Validation of EGR1 expression by Western blot (WB) analysis. EGR1 protein levels of CHF patients and controls were analyzed by WB analysis. A) Densitometric analysis shows average optical density (OD) of EGR1 protein expression by PBMCs on an independent set of ICM (n = 5), NIDCM (n = 3) patients and CTRLs (n = 3), as assessed by WB. Tubulin was utilized as an internal normalization control. B) Representative WB of controls, ICM and NIDCM patients. Since in the original blot the lanes shown were not adjacent, a separation vertical line was inserted to indicate removal of unnecessary lanes. *P < 0.05.
