Figure S1 -
Hierarchical cluster analysis of candidate metabolites in ground squirrel liver that varied significantly among summer (SUM) and 4 hibernation states: EN = entering torpor; LT= late torpor (³7 d of continuous torpor); AR= arousing from torpor; IBA= interbout arousal. N = 5 per group. Metabolites marked in bold were confirmed with standards and appear in Figures 3-7. (+) indicates the metabolite was observed in the positive mode; (-) indicates observed in the negative mode; (+/-) indicates observed in both modes. After loading into Cluster 3.0, data were log2-transformed, centered around the median and clustered using Pearson correlation.
